Because they’re too big. Yes, there are other things that can cause not-so-pretty breast augmentation results – bad implant positioning and capsular contracture, for example. But 9 times out of 10, really fake-looking breasts like in the picture (not my work, by the way) come from implants that are too big for the woman.

This 23-year-old wanted large C to small D cup breasts. I used 390 cc Allergan (Inamed) medium profile saline implants. These were the best match for her breast anatomy and her goals. They were placed under the pec muscle through an inframammary incision. The resulting D cup breasts look natural and proportionate.
