A Better Look
The Art of Eyelid Surgery by Dr. Robert Schwartz

Perhaps nothing more identifies us as us—to the world and to ourselves—than our eyes. Unfortunately, as we grow older we don’t always like who or what we see when we take a hard look at ourselves—and more specifically at our eyes.

We’ve all seen it—those heavy, puffy eyelids that grow heavier with each passing year. You still have that sparkle in your eyes if only you could clear away the clutter. Here at Robert Schwartz Plastic Surgery, we look at your eyes and that individual spark in context with the entire face to give you an even better look in the long run.

To begin, the lower and upper lids must always be analyzed independently. Whereas a falling brow line may be affecting your upper lids, sagging cheeks and changes in the lower face may be affecting your lower lids. Certain techniques can work together to achieve optimum results—such as contouring excess fat from the lower lids into the cheeks to create a more vibrant, youthful profile.

Granted, some patients aren’t prepared to hear that they may need a facelift, a brow lift and their eyelids touched in order to achieve the look they want. But Dr. Schwartz strongly believes in communicating with you openly and honestly so that you can go into every plastic surgery with your eyes wide open and together achieve a better look.
