Breast Augmentation

Nearly 300,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed in the United States in 2005 – that’s more than 800 every day. So if you are considering breast implants, it’s important for you to choose a surgeon who doesn’t make you feel like a number. You deserve the highest level of personal consultation and attention.
Dr. Schwartz uses a technique for breast augmentation that allows a highly precise dissection, faster recovery and less post-operative pain. In addition, he has a proven process for selecting the most appropriate implant for each patient. This three-step process ensures a clear understanding of the patient’s wishes and goals.
Step One – Detailed Measurement
During a patient’s initial visit, a detailed series of measurements are taken of her breasts and chest area. These measurements define the types and sizes of implants that best match a patient’s physique. Implants that produce less than optimal results are eliminated from consideration.
Step Two – Real Women, Not Models
Dr. Schwartz shows patients pictures of dozens of women with different body types and asks for the patient’s opinion of them. The pictures are of former patients and other real women – not magazine models, as are often used in such consultations. By discussing the photos and the patient’s desires at length, Dr. Schwartz ensures that he accurately understands a woman’s wishes and can choose the best implants to meet her goals.
Step Three – A Final Test
In the operating room, “test implants” are used to confirm the best size and type to match the patient’s frame and achieve their aesthetic goals. Once the optimal test implant is identified, it is replaced with an identical permanent implant.
