How long after breast augmentation before swelling will go down?

Dr. Schwartz:
So, my rule of thumb for my patients, and this doesn't just apply to breast augmentation, it applies to most cosmetic surgeries, typically you're going to see about three quarters of the end result by the end of a month. That means roughly about three quarters of your swelling is gone within a month. The rest of it goes away slower than that, so by the end of two months, you're about 90% there. But to get all that last 10% done, it's usually about six months or so.
