Procedure details

This patient presented with concerns of changes to the appearance of her breasts. She previously had a breast augmentation with saline breast implants and noticed her left breast had become smaller with time. She was also dissatisfied with the appearance of her breast implant scars. She consulted with Dr. Robert Schwartz and he determined that her left breast implant had ruptured. Upon his recommendation she elected to have her saline breast implants removed and replaced with silicone gel breast implants. During her surgery, Dr. Schwartz went in through her previous breast augmentation scars to remove the saline breast implants and inspect the implant pockets. He then tested various styles and profiles of silicone gel breast implants. To compensate for some slight asymmetry, two different breast implants were selected: A high profile implant was selected for the right breast while an ultra-high profile implant was selected for the left breast. He then went on to revise the scars underneath the inframammary folds of the breasts. Results pictured 6 months following surgery.
