Procedure details
This patient presented with complaints of change to the size of her left breast approximately 10 years after a previous breast augmentation. In her consultation, Dr. Schwartz reviewed her symptoms and ordered an MRI to determine if her breast implant had ruptured. The findings of the MRI revealed a ruptured breast implant and the patient elected to replace her implants. Dr. Schwartz made incisions at the inframammary folds of the breasts and removed the previous breast implants. He inspected and thoroughly cleaned the breast implant pockets and then tried a range of breast implant sizes and profiles in keeping with the patient's goals. Finally, he made slight modifications to the breast implant pockets and completed the procedure. Breast implant replacement results pictured 6 months following surgery.
